Quadria Investment Management has announced the appointment of Rajesh Singhal as its Principal Managing Partner. Singhal, who re-joins Quadria from his stint at Tata Capital, will head the investment team for its India-focused education and healthcare fund.
“Quadria is pleased to have Rajesh Singhal back in the fold as it would give tremendous boost to the investor and investee company confidence. Rajesh was instrumental in setting up the fund and responsible for all investment related decisions,” said Dr. Amit Varma, Director of Quadria Investment Management in a statement released by the firm.
Quadria Investment Management, erstwhile Milestone Religare Investment Advisors, manages India Build-out Fund – I, a US$ 100mn private equity fund focused on education & healthcare. In his earlier stint at the firm, Singhal was the Founding Managing Partner of Milestone Religare Investment Advisors. He was instrumental in spearheading activities like conceptualizing, building the team, raising and managing the $100mn PE fund from Indian resident investors and work alongside Dr. Amit Varma, said the statement.
Singhal spent two years at Tata Capital as Partner in Tata Opportunities Fund. Prior to Quadria and Tata Capital, Singhal served at Intel Capital between 2000 and 2008. His earlier stint was with ICICI Bank where he worked in diverse responsibilities in project finance, corporate finance & advisory divisions for 5 years.
Singhal has close to two decades of experience in private equity, venture capital and project finance in Indian markets.
