The company has already initiated talks with its original equipment manufacturing partners.
"We are have already initiated this process, and the OEMs are at present in the designing stage, we should be able to roll out these phones by 2009," he added. The smartphones will be available with full in-built HSDPA, an advance version of 3G mobile functions.
Qualcomm has OEM partners like ZTE, Huawei, LG, Samsung, HTC, however, Singh refused to reveal which of his existing partners he was collaborating with for this venture.
