Rahul Bhatia, group managing director of InterGlobe Enterprises, which owns low-cost carrier Indigo, was on Thursday named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2011. Seven other entrepreneurs received awards across various categories at a function in Mumbai on Thursday.
Bhatia will represent the country at the Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur of the Year Award in Monte Carlo, Monaco, this year.
The winners were selected by a jury led by Maruti Suzuki Chairman R C Bhargava. HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh got the lifetime achievement award.
