The supplier shall be selected through International Competitive Bidding (ICB) to undertake the work of setting up of the Electric Locomotive Factory to supply minimum assured off-take of 660 electric locomotives of 12,000 HP, twin Bo-Bo configuration, over a period of eight years and undertake maintenance thereof for a period of up to twenty years. The last date for the submission of the application is on June 23, 2008.
