Raisoni Group, CIIE launch R-Idea to promote entrepreneurship

Raisoni Group, in association with Centre for Innovation Incubation and Entrepreneurship (CIIE) of IIM-Ahmedabad and Pmanifold, today launched a national level business competition called 'R-Idea'.

The objective of R-Idea is to encourage entrepreneurship and business planning among B-school students.

Raisoni Group is a conglomerate of institutions in the diversified fields like manufacturing, distribution, marketing, construction and healthcare.

R-Idea is an out of classroom program that has listed growing sectors in India as categories for business plans (B-Plans) such as agri business, go green technology, information technology, education, health care and hostility and social business.

A three-month process is designed to benefit every participant. The entry level elevator pitch received will be filtered by a review committee on various parameters. Later, short-listed participants will receive mentorship from CIIE IIMA.

Business solution company Pmanifold will prepare due diligence reports for filtered B-Plans. Selected pitches that make it for the semi-final round will detail their plans and submit it for the finale round.

The winners Will be announced in February next year. The best B-Plans winners will be awarded a six-figure cash prize.

"The service sectors in India that majorly contributes to the country's GDP require seasoned entrepreneurs. Sustained businesses in these sectors will create better employment opportunities. With knowledge and incubation partner, we will select the best business plan submitted by students and showcase it to the investors," Raisoni Group's Director, Siddharth Raisoni, told reporters here.
