Rajesh Exports, SKF India, Sona Koyo, Wockhardt & Wartsila Q1 results

Gold manufacturer Rajesh Exports has posted a higher net profit of Rs 16.86 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2005 compared with Rs 7.30 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.
 
Revenues during the reporting quarter increased to Rs 1,173.14 crore compared with Rs 1,065.70 crore in June 2004, the company said in a release.
 
SKF India Q2 net up 60%
 
SKF India has reported a 60.21 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 19.61 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 compared with Rs 12.24 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2004-05.
 
Total income has increased 27.57 per cent to Rs 184.83 crore for the quarter from Rs 144.88 crore in the year-ago period.
 
Sona Koyo net up 17.2%
 
Sona Koyo Steering Systems reported a 17.2 per cent rise in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 at Rs 2.79 crore against Rs 2.39 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
 
Riding on the back of increased overseas sales, income from operations for the reporting quarter rose to Rs 93.40 crore compared with Rs 74.16 crore in June 2004, Sona Koyo said in a release here.
 
Wockhardt Q2 net up 72.19%
 
Wockhardt has reported a 72.19 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 79.9 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 compared with Rs 46.4 crore for the corresponding quarter in 2004-05.
 
Total income has increased 32.93 per cent to Rs 278.1 crore for the second quarter from Rs 209.2 crore in the year-ago period, Wockhardt informed the BSE.
 
The group has posted a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 77.5 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 compared with Rs 50.1 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2004.
 
Total income has increased to Rs 380.4 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2005 from Rs 293.1 crore in the same period last year.
 
Wartsila net up marginally
 
Wartsila's net profit for the quarter ended June 30 stood at Rs 4.71 crore compared with Rs 4.68 crore during the corresponding quarter in the previous year.
 
Net sales have grown by 18 per cent for the first quarter at Rs 66.54 crore against Rs 56.53 crore during the corresponding quarter in the previous year.
