A local court today allowed a petition seeking in-patient treatment for former Satyam Computer founder and former chairman B Ramalinga Raju, suffering from Hepatitis C at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (Nims) here.
The petition was filed by Raju’s wife Nandini. The judge directed the superintendent of Chanchalguda Central Prison to arrange for the treatment as per the law with an observation that Raju should not use cell phone, computer, laptop with internet facility. He should only be allowed to meet his wife or son to attend to him, the judge added. Nandini expressed willingness to foot the bill for the medical expenses.
Meanwhile, Raju, who was at Chanchalguda jail, was shifted back to Nims last night after he developed high fever.
