Rakshit is ACNielsen south Asia region MD

Marketing information company ACNielsen has a new head for its south Asian operations as Partha Rakshit has stepped into the shoes of Russell Farmery, who is now the managing director of ACNielsen, Greater China.
 
Rakshit has been promoted as managing director for ACNielsen entities in south Asian sub-region from his current role of managing director, ACNielsen customised research services, south Asia, with effective from December 1, said the company in a media statement. Rakshit's position will be taken over by Sarang Panchal.
 
Russell will relocate to Shanghai over the next couple of months. He continues to remain a member of the Asia Pacific executive committee (APEC) and a participant on the region's products and services leadership council.
 
Rakshit was president of ACNielsen's business development and joint ventures, India, with responsibility for managing ACNielsen's interests in Nepal, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as well as ORG-GFK Marketing Services (India) and the organisation's TAM India interests.

Over the last two years, his contribution to streamlining the various operational facets across ACNielsen's strategic business units in India, have paid off remarkably well.
