Rallis aims at Rs 500 cr turnover from Dahej plant

The company will focus more launching a suit of crop solutions under its green portfolio: R Gopalkrishnan

Tata Group-owned agro-chemicals company, Rallis India today said it is expecting a Rs 500 crore turnover in five years from its multi-purpose manufacturing plant at Dahej in Gujarat.

"We are hoping for a turnover of Rs 500 crore from our multi-purpose manufacturing plant at Dahej in the next five years," Tata Sons' Executive Director and Chairman of Rallis India R Gopalkrishnan today told shareholders at the agro-chemical company's annual general meeting (AGM) here.

During the year, the company successfully commissioned and started commercial production at its additional manufacturing facility at Dahej, producing a number crop protection products.

He said the company will focus more launching a suit of crop solutions under its green portfolio.

The company, which is covering about 700,000 farmers under its Rallis Kisan Kutumba initiative, is also aiming to reach one million during this fiscal year, he added.

The company's PAT stood at Rs 101.38 crore for the year ending March 31, 2012, while its total revenue was at Rs 1,260 crore.
