Ramco net profit up 52%

Ramco Industries registered a net profit of Rs 6.81 crore in the fourth quarter of 2004-05, up 52.3 per cent as compared to the net profit of Rs 4.47 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year.

The company's board recommended a final dividend of 40 per cent on equity shares (face value of Rs 10), in addition to the two interim dividends of 30 per cent each.

The net sales for the fourth quarter of 2004-05 was Rs 55.54 crore, up by 36 per cent as compared to previous year's Rs 40.82 crore.

For the financial year 2004-05, its net profit was Rs 28.84 crore, higher by 19.2 per cent as compared to previous year's Rs 24.19 crore.

The net sales for the year was Rs 190.78 crore, an increase of 23.3 per cent over last year's Rs 154.67 crore.
