Ranbaxy Laboratories today reported a 20% increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 121.10 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2006 when compared with Rs 101.30 crore in Q2FY06.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, total income increased to Rs 1,471.30 crore from Rs 1,370.40 crore in Q2FY06.The company, on a stand-alone basis, posted a profit after tax of Rs 99.83 crore in Q2FY07 as against Rs 76.49 crore in Q2FY06. Total income increased to Rs 1,083.78 crore from Rs 1,005.02 crore in Q2FY06.
