Ranbaxy Laboratories today announced the commissioning of its new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Sungat Petani, Kedah, Malaysia. This was announced in a release issued by the company to the BSE today."The new plant will meet the growing demand for generic and branded medicines in the local markets and will also position the company as a significant supplier of formulations for the ASEAN region," the release added.Brian W Tempest, CEO of the company, said: "We have had a fine tradition of providing our consumers in Malaysia and Singapore with medicines that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, efficacy and value.
