Rane Engine Valve Ltd (REVL), the flagship company of Rane Group, has inaugurated its LPS line for manufacturing valves for Mahindra & Mahindra, farm equipment sector. The line was officially inaugurated by Anjanikumar Choudhari, till recently president of Mahindra & Mahindra, and presently director, Mahindra Institute of Quality.
By commissioning this line, REVL further strengthened its position as a valuable partner to the Farm Equipment Sector, according to The company’s release. L Ganesh, chairman, Rane Group, said, “REVL‘s plant at Alandur was the first manufacturing plant of the group established in 1959. If we have to ensure its survival for some years, the productivity has to be improved multi-fold. Lean manufacturing practice is one initiative that will help us do that.”
How rapidly we can deploy this horizontally in this plant will determine its future.”
The company did not disclose the investment details for the line, “with minimal investment and adopting the effective practice, this special line will help in substantially increasing the production of valves and successfully reducing production time, also improving quality, reducing the inventory and also use the available space and resource effectively, according to a company’s statement.”
