Dubey joined the Tata group in 1977 as a Tata Administrative officer. He later joined IHCL as a sales executive and raised to the rank of senior vice president ""corporate communications. During his tenure at the Taj, Dubey had successful stints in sales, operations and projects. |

Dubey served under various IHCL chiefs from Ajit Kerkar, R K Krishna Kumar and now Raymond Bickson. Recently, Ravi's brother Rajeev quit Rallis as managing director and has now joined Mahindra & Mahindra. |
