Tata Motors, the largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles in the country, has added the 'Tata' tag to Daewoo Commercial Vehicle, its recently-acquired truck division of South Korean major Daewoo. |
The company, to be called Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle from now, will have Ravi Kant, executive director of commercial-vehicles unit of Tata Motors, as the chairman. |

Kwang-Ok Chae, president and receiver of Daewoo Commercial Vehicle, will be the chief executive officer and president, and Praveen Kadle, executive director (finance) of Tata Motors, will be a director on the company's board. |

The company has rolled out Novus, a heavy-duty truck model and the company's first vehicle fitted with a Euro-III compliant engine, in the South Korean market. |

The truck maker is hoping to roll out the Novus in the Middle East, Africa and Asia. The new truck will also find its way into India as per the company's export plans. |

Unveiling the new truck, Ratan N Tata, chairman, Tata Motors, said: "We are very pleased that a new vehicle complying with Euro-III regulation is being launched by Tata Daewoo Commercial Vehicle. It will strengthen the company's product offerings and enable it to compete well in South Korea and other international markets." |
