RComm continues association withT-20 World Cup as global partner

Under this partnership, RComm gets exclusive rights to content from the ICC for its mobile platform

Reliance Communications has been named the global partner for the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, to be held in Bangladesh from 16 March. This is the fifth consecutive edition of the T-20 world cup that RComm and the ICC have tied up for.

Under this partnership, RComm gets exclusive rights to content from the ICC for its mobile platform.This includes live coverage of the event on mobile, commentary, analysis and video clips from matches.

Apart from this, the company also gets the first right to refusal for any promotional activity undertaken by the International Cricket Council which involves the use of the worldcup trophy. It ill also provide customers an opportunity to send bestwishes to the team and participate in contests specially designed for this event and win prizes.

Apart from this, RComm will also belaunching a special packaging of its products which will carry theICC Twenty20 World Cup imagery. It will launch special talktime, dataand SMS packs during the tournament as well. Additionally, the company will also undertake on-ground activations and events duringthe world cup in Bangladesh and India. Senior RComm officials willalso be seen handing out awards and accolades at the post match presentations in the tournament.

To kick start the world cup campaign, Rcomm organised an event in Mumbai which was a part of the exclusivepreview road shows across India before the tournament takes off in Bangladesh. Fans could see and get clicked with the world cup trophy as 20 athletes, winners of Special Olympics from Holy Cross Convent Special School cheered for Team India at the event.
