Block deals worth Rs 1,163 crore were executed on the BSE and the NSE on Friday.While the NSE witnessed block deals in eight stocks worth Rs 972 crore for 33.08 million shares, block deals worth Rs 191 crore were done for 15.85 million shares for 36 securities on the BSE.The major block deal worth Rs 949 crore was done in Reliance Communication Ventures (RCoVL). Reliance Enterprises, an unlisted Mukesh Ambani group company, sold 31.8 million shares of RCoVL for an average market price of Rs 299 per share to various unlisted companies of the same group.Reliance Capital sold 3.92 lakh equity shares of the newly listed Gitanjali Gems to Deutsche International Trust Corporation (Mauritius) for Rs 7 crore.BSMA purchased 15 lakh shares of Sadbhav Engineering worth Rs 4.77 crore, and Morgan Stanley sold 18 lakh shares of Visualsoft for Rs 3.13 crore. HSBC Global Investment bought 7.96 million shares of Triveni Engineering at an average market price of Rs 82 per share. Anna Investments purchased 40 lakh shares of India Cement for Rs 67.60 crore.
