Reliance Retail (RRL) opened four more Fresh outlets in the city today taking its tally to 21. The company is also planning to open about a dozen stores in Vijayawada, Guntur and Visakhaptanam by month-end.According to K S Venugopal, CEO, customer operations, RRL (Andhra Pradesh), the company will have presence in all metros in the country during the next three months."Hyderabad will eventually have 50 neighbourhood stores," he said. The company currently has 30 procurement points spread across the state, Venugopal added. RRL, which launched its retail foray in Hyderabad in November 2006, has received good response in the last two-and-a-half months, Venugopal said. All its stores in the city have crossed the industry 'bench-mark' monthly turnover of Rs 1,000 per square foot (sft). The average daily footfalls in each store stood at 1,500.Apart from the Reliance Fresh brand stores, the company will roll out other pilot formats. The company's team is also currently working on hyper markets."We are looking at bigger format stores," Venugopal said, adding that RRL stores here had an average area of 2,200 sft to 4,000 sft.
