Rel Retail to invest Rs 180cr in jewellery stores in AP

Reliance Retail Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), will be rolling out its jewellery format stores across 12 locations in Andhra Pradesh in the next three years.
 
Speaking at the launch of 'Reliance Jewels' in Hyderabad on Friday, Bijou Kurien, president and chief executive, Reliance Lifestyle, said the company was planning to invest Rs 180 crore in Andhra.
 
The locations identified by the company for setting up jewellery stores include Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Warangal and Nellore.
 
"It has always been the endeavour of Reliance to provide consumers a wide range of high-quality products at competitive prices. Reliance Jewels is another milestone in our effort to bring a unique shopping experience with assured purity of gold and certification of diamonds," Kurien said.
 
The Hyderabad store was set up at an investment of Rs 25 crore. It is spread across 8,000 sft with 15,000 designs on display.
 
This is the second store of the company after its jewellery format was launched in November 2007 in Bangalore.
