The Reliance Retail juggernaut will enter the National Capital Region (NCR) from Monday to give the masses a taste of Western-style convenience stores, with an estimated investment of Rs 8,000 crore.Reliance Retail, which entered organised retail through Reliance Fresh outlets in Hyderabad, Jaipur and Chennai last year, would be opening nine Reliance Fresh stores across Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gurgaon and Noida.Reliance Retail has lined up Rs 25,000 crore in investments over the next five years for its retail business, of which it intends to spend Rs 8,000 crore in NCR, informed sources said.Reliance spokesperson, however, declined to comment on the details of their plans for NCR.The company intends to open 400 to 600 stores in the region covering 50 million square feet of retail space, sources said.
