A criminal offence has also been registered at the Porbandar police station against one such seller, who was selling similar boxes in the market. |

Reliance has clarified that it has not brought forward the mangoes, cultivated in the green belt area of Jamnagar Refinery complex, for retail or wholesale sales in the open markets of Saurashtra. |

Neither has the company handed over the responsibility of distributing it in the markets yet. So the mangoes sold in boxes bearing Reliance logo and are purely fake products, not produced or sold by the Reliance group, the release further stated. |

Consumers have also been warned against such purchases and that this is one type of crime of forgery. The company has undertaken legal action against the retailers and whole-sellers indulged in selling mangoes in name of Reliance. |

In 1,800 acres of Reliance greenbelt in Jamnagar, more than one lakh mango trees are been grown in 421 acres of area and since last two-three years yield of mangoes has also been good. This year yet the yield is not yet plucked or forwarded into the markets, says company. |

Further, the release stated, "The company generally distributes mangoes at selected places and to selected associates and employees of the company, so common masses should not fall prey to the mangoes sold using its brand-name." |

The company will also issue warning to those innocent people who have indulged themselves in selling such fake products or they will also have to bear the legal consequences. |

Following one such report, the company's official Arvind Babu Tavde from Reliance Township at Moti Khavdi has also registered a complaint at Kamlabaug police station in Porbandar. |
