Reliance Industries has posted a 52% rise in net profit to Rs 2091 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004 when compared with Rs 1374 crore in the same period last year. According to a release issued to the BSE, the total income (net of excise) has moved up 42% from Rs 12723 crore in Q3-03 to Rs 18099 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2004.
