The Anil Ambani-promoted film and entertainment services company, Reliance MediaWorks, has partnered Hyderabad-based film, television studio and production house Annapurna Studios.

Under the strategic alliance, Annapurna’s studio facility would now be managed and operated by Reliance MediaWorks. It will also operate and expand the studio’s digital post-production facilities that cater to the needs of the motion picture and television commercials industry.

Founded by veteran Telugu actor and Padmavibhushan recipient Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Annapurna Studios is spread across 22 acre. It has recently added 5 new air-conditioned studios to the existing five-studio complex.

Reliance MediaWorks owns and operates RMW Studios, the country’s largest Hollywood-benchmarked studios and comprise eight sound stages spread across a 7-acre area within Filmcity, Mumbai.

“The shared strengths will enable Annapurna Studios to leverage expertise and complement each other in providing world-class facilities and services to its customers,” Nageswara Rao said in a release.
