Reliance plans 100 petroleum retail outlets by year-end

Reliance will set up 100 petroleum retail outlets in Gujarat by the year end, said Parimal Nathwani, Reliance executive for Gujarat here on Wednesday after launching three state-of-the-art retail outlets.
 
These three retail outlets are located near the Reliance's petrochemical facilities at Jamnagar, Hazira and Navi Mumbai. Nathwani inaugurated the Jamnagar retail outlet in the presence of a large number of Reliance's officials.
 
He said the company will roll out 40 more outlets in the state by the end of March.
 
Reliance has got approval for opening 5,849 retail outlets, he said. He added that three more outlets will opened in the Jamnagar district.
 
These will be at Jambuda, Moti Khavdi and Mithapur. The company will also open an outlet at Padadhari in Rajkot district.
 
These outlets will be operational in near future, Nathwani said. Union petroleum ministry has granted permission to open new outlets in the areas classified as low service areas.
 
Nathwani said that the 'Fill & Fly' outlets have been designed to cater to the needs of the city dwellers.
 
These will eventually have several attractive customer-oriented features, he said and added that Reliance has a separate retail outlet model for high-ways, called the 'Truck Stop' model keeping the requirements of the truckers in view.
 
P K Kapil, the site president of Reliance's Jamnagar complex in his welcome address said that the outlets are fully-owned by Reliance.
 
The retail outlets, promise guaranteed quality and quantity; as well as friendly and courteous services, Kapil said. He added that in near future customer friendly features like web stores and online banking will also be added in the Fill & Fly outlets.
 
The Jamnagar retail outlet has two dispensers each for diesel and petrol and as many as eight vehicles could be catered at a time with multiple nozzles at each dispenser.
