Reliance, railways eye ticketing deal

 The railways, which were dithering over the introduction of phone-booking services, had asked Reliance to first devise a mechanism that would enable subscribers to pay telephone bills over the phone.

 Reliance has now informed the railways that 20,000 of its customers have used the service to pay their bills.

 It has also assured the railways that by December 15 this year the facility will be available to all its customers.
