Reliance Trends plans 14 stores in M'rashtra

Reliance Trends, the apparel and accessories division of Reliance Retail Ltd, has opened its 13th store in Nashik, spread over 18,000 sft. The company is planning to open 14 new stores in Maharashtra in the next two years and introduce its two own private brands in menswear, shortly.

In Maharashtra, the company has two stores at Mumbai and Nashik.

Addressing a press conference, Arun Sirdeshmukh, chief executive, Reliance Trends, said, “We are planning to open 14 new stores in Maharashtra in the next two years. Around five stores will be opened in Mumbai alone, while one each will be opened in Pune and Nagpur. Locations for other seven proposed stores are yet to be finalised. Each store will have an average shopping area of 20,000 sq ft.”

In Bangalore, the company has a team of 200 people for product development, design, marketing and HR.

“So far, we have developed 12 private brands, which include First Class, Network, Netplay, DNMX, Graviti, Sparsh, Hushh, Panda and Frendz. We are planning to introduce another two new brands in the menswear segment shortly,” he added without disclosing any financial details.
