The project management committee of the board of directors of Shree Renuka Sugars, which met today, approved a proposal for setting up a sugar refinery with a capacity of 2000 metric tonne per day near Haldia port in West Bengal.According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, all infrastructure facilities, including the acquisition of land, have been initiated with an estimated project outlay of Rs 250 crore in the first phase."The plant is expected to be commissioned by March 2007," the release added.
