Amid the controversy over alleged overstating of revenues and evasion of licence fee by Anil Ambani Group company Reliance Communications (RCom), the government-appointed audit panel today said its report is not influenced by anyone.

"Our firm was appointed by the Department of Telecom (DoT) for doing special audit of RCom. DoT specifically gave us 12 points in terms of reference for conducting the audit. We have given point-wise report in our replies and opinion on the issue."

"We have submitted an independent report without getting influenced by anyone," Prakash Sharma, Senior Parter, Parakh & Co told PTI when asked to comment on the views made by Anil that the report is biased and influenced by its corporate rival.

Debunking RCom's claims that it is yet to receive a copy of the report, Sharma said "we would like to confirm that we have given the audit report to RCom on the same day we were instructed by DoT to do so. DoT asked us to give them a report yesterday and we have already given the report. They have also given the receipt. The audit was concluded after discussions with RCom".
