Global information, news & technology major Reuters today launched a high security instant messaging service.
Christened Reuters Messaging, the service has been developed by Reuters in collaboration with Microsoft.
Reuters executives said at a media conference today that around 1,100 companies in 84 countries have already signed up for the service.

There is no service fee but clients will have to pay for the licenses for the operating system.
Reuters Messaging is targeted at the financial services sector and will help meet the requirements stipulated by the Securities & Exchange Commission.
