Rittal India, a 100% subsidiary of enclosure manufacturer Rittal GmbH, Germany, has announced their plan to invest additional euro 20 million in India. Friedhelm Loh, owner and chairman of the Friedhelm Loh group of companies, of which Rittal is the flagship company said, that Rittal is planning to start a second manufacturing location in India.Rittal GmbH - a euro 2 billion company - commenced its operations in India in 1997 and set up its manufacturing facility in Bangalore. Its product range includes large enclosures for electrical and automation equipments, networking & server enclosures, total solutions for data centres.Loh said that in the 10 years since inception, sales in India have grown rapidly to a level of about euro 50 million currently with good future growth prospects. Currently Rittal employs over 600 people in India and has a customer base of 4,000 all over India. The plant in India also exports to Rittal subsidiaries in Asia & Middle East.
