The consortium of Reliance Natural Resources (RNRL), Reliance Energy, Naftogaz India and GeoPetrol Inc has, on March 2, 2007, been awarded one on-land block in Mizoram.According to a release issued by Reliance Natural Resources, a R-ADAG company, the block has been bagged under NELP-VI round held by the Government of India."The block is located in the north-eastern region of India where many gas fields have been discovered. The block has an area of 3,619 sq.km, and has so far not been explored for hydrocarbons," the release added.
