Rolls-Royce Group Plc, a leading provider of power systems and services, has set up a wholly-owned subsidiary in India to manage the growing volume of engineering work.Rolls-Royce Operations India (RROIPL) would help the group meet the need for greater engineering capacity over a range of its new programmes and leverage the Indian capability to develop aero-engineering solutions, an official release said today.Sir John Rose, chief executive of Rolls-Royce Plc, said RROIPL would direct engineering work packages to Quality Engineering and Software Technologies (Quest), a city-based global product development solutions provider.Aravind Melligeri, president of Quest, said the company would double the headcount of locally employed engineers to 200 in the next 12 months and invest $2 million to support Rolls-Royce.
