Both the companies -- Rolta and WhittmanHart Consulting -- have signed an agreement to this effect.
"This acquisition is in keeping with our declared strategy of acquiring technologies and skills that help our clients get greater returns from their investments in enterprise solutions and services from Rolta," Rolta Chairman and CEO K K Singh said.
With this transaction, Rolta would acquire an impressive track record, a significant customer base, highly experienced consultants, unique methodologies and technologies, ongoing customer contracts and profitable revenue stream, the company said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
WhittmanHart Consulting's partners include Oracle, business objects, Congos, CA and HP. It is also an active member of Oracle's Partner Advisory Council.
The consulting firm's assets and business opportunities would be rapidly integrated into the operations of Rolta through this acquisition. Rolta can now offer a more complete range of business solutions and consulting services, the filing added.
WhittmanHart is the consulting division of digital communications and process improvement solutions provider WhittmanHart Inc.
