Consumer electronics firm Salora International today said it has entered into an agreement with Sharp Business Systems (India) to sell the latter's products, including kitchen appliances and television in India.
As part of the agreement, Salora will start selling kitchen and home appliances, including microwave ovens and vacuum cleaners. Besides, Salora will distribute Sharp's CRT TVs exclusively in north Indian markets.
"With this tie-up with Sharp Business Systems, Salora has further strengthened its core competency in distribution.
Salora has always allied with brands and companies who have firmly established leadership status in the world for its quality and technology," Salora International Managing Director Gopal Jiwarajka said in a statement.
The alliance with Salora International will give a headstart for Sharp to increase its reach in the Indian market by using the readymade platform provided by Salora, the statement said.
This partnership may spread across other products of Sharp Business Systems as well in due course of time, it added.
Besides, Sharp Business Systems (India), which is a fully owned subsidiary of Sharp Corporation, Japan, said it is aggressively focusing on the IT sector to provide complete business solutions with its new range of products.
"Sharp considers India to be an extremely important market for its products. The alliance with Salora International will give a headstart for Sharp to increase its reach in the Indian market by using the ready-made platform provided by Salora," Sharp Business Systems (India) Managing Director Sunil K Sinha said.
