With the festive season round the corner, Samsung India today said it expects a business of Rs 1,700 crore from the consumer electronics business during September-October this year.
"We are looking at business of Rs 1,700 crore from our consumer electronics business during September-October period," Samsung India Deputy Managing Director R Zutshi said in a statement.
This will translate into a 40 per cent growth over Samsung's sale in the corresponding period last year, he added.
The company is launching special offers to push sale of its products during the up coming festive season.
These consumer offers includes assured gifts and other freebies on the purchase of select Samsung electronics and Home Appliances products.
Commencing from today, the offers would be valid till October 31 across the country.

The festival season, which extends from September to November, is the most important period for consumer electronics companies in India, and accounts for more than one-third of their annual sales.
The announcement comes at a time when some industry experts feel that the sales in the rural markets are likely to get hit this time due to the drought.
