SAP Labs India will conduct a women's only recruitment drive in Bangalore as part of celebrations for International Women's Day on March 8, where around 300 women will come to the firm's campus for final round of interviews.

SAP Labs had shortlisted these candidates earlier from a pool of about 1,500 candidates that it received through its Diversity Employee Referral Program. These candidates would be hired for several positions including interns, early talent and lateral talents.

Currently 32% of SAP Lab's total workforce is women and it aims to increase women in leadership roles to 25% by 2017.

"SAP Labs India has been at the forefront to nurture and incorporate diversity policies that help create a favorable ecosystem for growth and innovation within the organisation", said Sheenam Ohrie, vice president-diversity and inclusion at SAP Labs India. "This year, we continue our commitment to engage and empower our women employees across the organisation while also reaching out to prospective women recruits."

SAP Labs is also hosting a night long hackathon called 'APP.ly - Code to Empower her' to build mobile applications that address everyday issues faced by women. The hackathon is being hosted in association with National Institute of Technology, Trichy. The winning team will receive an initial seed funding from an angel investor to bootstrap their idea.
