IT firm Mahindra Satyam today said its Dubai based office will now function as new regional hub, strengthening its businesses in Middle East and African operations.
This is as a part of its plan to targets more projects and growth opportunities in these regions booming with IT and business segment.
Manojeet Chowdhury who was managing the Middle East Region, would now operate in a broader role of taking care across Middle East and Northern Africa (MENA) region, Mahindra Satyam (earlier Known as Satyam Computer Services) said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
"Over the last six quarters, the company's Middle East and African operations have shown commendable resilience through times and have generated significant momentum across a broad spectrum of opportunities," Mahindra Satyam Senior Vice President Business Head, Middle East, Africa and India Dilip Jha said.
Besides, the company has made management changes by appointing Bobby Gupta as Business Head for the Gulf, Levant and North African Region while Chittaranjan Jena is appointed as Business Head for Southern Africa based out of Johannesburg.
Bobby Gupta, in his earlier role was the sales and business development head for Australia and New Zealand at Mahindra Satyam. Jena was heading sales in Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait region in the Middle East for the company.
Mahindra Satyam scrip was trading at Rs 88.65 on the BSE, down 0.84 per cent from the previous close.
