Vizag-based Seven Hills Hospitals Private Limited will be investing Rs 4 crore on increasing its bed capacity by 100 and on creating additional facilities by the end of next fiscal.

"At present we have 250 beds in our hospital. We have recently purchased a new building next to our present hospital. We plan to add 100 more beds in the newly-purchased building with an investment of Rs 4 crore," Jitendra Das Maganti, chairman and managing director of Seven Hills Hospitals, told Business Standard.

"The hospital had invested close to Rs 25 crore on increasing the number of beds from 160 to 250 some four years back. Besides this, we had also spent huge amounts on importing modern medical equipment. We are currently providing multi-super specialty facilities at our hospital. We are aiming at providing the latest medical facilities at low cost to the poor and middle-class. Keeping this in mind, we are adding 100 more beds," he said.

Jitendra said that the room prices, medical services and specialists' charges at the proposed 100-beds block will be low, when compared to the existing Seven Hills Hospital charges.

"Our charges for heart operations, kidney transplantations and other operations are 30 to 40 per cent lower than that of other corporate hospitals in the city," he said.
