Equity Intelligence India Private Limited, a Kochi-based portfolio management services (PMS) company has launched shariah-compliant PMS. Porinju Veliyath, managing director of the company, said that many investors, mostly NRIs from the Gulf region were demanding shariah-compliant PMS for quiet a long time and decided to foray into the new segment. He said that the company was commencing this service for the first time in India. The minimum investment under the new PMS is Rs 10 lakh for resident Indians and Rs 25 lakh for NRIs. The company presently has Rs 100 crore under PMS from a clientele of 500.
