| Readymade apparel maker Zodiac Clothing today reported a 130 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 4.18 crore (Rs 1.81 crore) in the quarter ending June 2007. |
| Net sales increased by 29 per cent to Rs 49.78 crore (Rs 38.56 crore) boosted by better sales in the retail points. The consolidated turnover of the company including sales in markets like the UAE were up by 24 per cent on a turnover of Rs 63.19 crore (Rs 53.26 crore). |
| However,the future quarters could be impacted because of the rupee strengthening and the widening of the scope of service tax on the export business and rise in rentals and power costs. |
