Fox Star India has has brought on board Shikha Kapur as chief marketing officer and as head of the syndication division. She moves in from Disney India where she headed the marketing for studios, broadcasting and the interactive business and served as the Vice President of the company
In her new role, she will be marketing the entire studio portfolio across Hollywood, Bollywood and Tamil in addition to handling the syndication business. Kapur will be reporting to Vijay Singh, CEO of Fox Star Studios and will join on15th May, 2014.
She has more than a decade of experience having marketed over 100 films and won multiple awards. Kapur conceptualised the marketing campaigns of some of the biggest hits like Chennai Express, Rowdy Rathore, Barfi!, Raajneeti and Rang De Basanti apart from breakout hits like Dev.D, No One Killed Jessica, Kai Po Che, ABCD, Delhi Belly, Peepli Live, Fashion and Kaminey.
