Shoppers' Stop is entering into a joint venture (JV) with the Nuance Group for the Indian airport retail market. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), according to which the JV will be owned equally by both partners and will offer services ranging from master consessions to distribution for international brands.Leading airport retailer The Nuance Group operates 330 outlets at 59 airports in 17 countries. "The signing of this MoU with Shoppers' Stop is a first milestone for Nuance Group's entry into the dynamic growth market in India. We are convinced that together we will be able to create a truly unique offer perfectly tailored to the needs of the customers at the Indian airports," Carlo Bernasconi, EVP (business development & strategic marketing) Nuance Group, said.
