Shree Cement, SKF, PSL & SPIC Q2 results

Net profit of Shree Cement has increased 120 per cent at Rs 37.36 crore during the current quarter of the current financial year as comapred with Rs 17 crore during the same period previous fiscal. Net revenue also increased to Rs 155.4 crore from Rs 140.5 crore.
 
SKF net up 32%
 
SKF India posted net profit of Rs 20.20 crore for the third quarter ended September 30, 2005, a 32.11 per cent growth compared with Rs 15.29 crore posted in the previous corresponding period. Its net sales amounted to Rs 184.67 crore, a growth of 25.8 per cent, from Rs 147.63 crore.
 
PSL net up at Rs 7.96 cr
 
PSL reported an increase in net profit to Rs 7.96 crore for the second quarter ended September from Rs 7.33 crore reported in same period last year. Sales also increased by 55.94 per cent to Rs 669 crore as against Rs 429 crores in corresponding period last year.
 
SPIC net loss by Rs 2.54 cr
 
Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation (SPIC) recorded a net loss of Rs 2.54 crore in the second quarter of 2005-06, as compared with a net profit of Rs 178.59 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. Sales stood at Rs 633.89 crore (Rs 570.27 crore last year), higher by 11.15 per cent.
 
For the first half of 2005-06, the company's net loss stood at Rs 43.75 crore, as compared with a net profit of Rs 127.59 crore. The sales for the same period stood at Rs 1,091 crore (Rs 901 crore), higher by 21.08 per cent.
