US-based computing and visualisation solutions provider Silicon Graphics Inc (SGI) is looking at strategic alliances with Indian companies to outsource its global research and development (R&D) activities.
The managing director of Silicon Graphics Systems (India), Prasad V Medury, said at a press conference here today that the company was in talks with certain Indian companies over its outsourcing plans.
Though Medury did not name the companies, he said SGI might announce some tie-ups in the next couple of months.

Warren Pratt, executive vice-president and chief operating officer, SGI, said the company was open to outsourcing some of its activities to India.
SGI
