During the period of limited open skies policy, which was announced to meet the peak traffic period (November-January), Singapore Airlines plans to introduce an additional flight on the Delhi-Singapore sector.
The airline would also be upgrading the seat capacity by around 10 per cent on the Chennai-Singapore route by replacing Boeing 777-200 with Boeing 747 or 744 aircraft.
Also, Silk Air, the subsidiary carrier company of Singapore Airlines, would be operating charter flights to Jaipur and Gaya.
The carrier is exploring the option of an additional flight from Kolkata during this period.
The international carrier today announced three additional flights on the Mumbai-Singapore sector to be launched with effect from October 26.
The new flights are daytime services in addition to the daily night flights, thereby bringing the total number of weekly flights to 10 per week on the Mumbai-Singapore route.
