Singapore Airlines cuts fares by 19%

Reacting to low introductory fares to Singapore announced by Air Sahara and Jet Airways, Singapore Airlines today cut fares on the route by as much as 19 per cent.
 
The present limited offer return fare by Singapore Airlines to Singapore from Mumbai is Rs 13,499, down from Rs 16,670 earlier.
 
The offer by Singapore Airlines is lower than the Rs 14, 400 return fare to Singapore from Mumbai offered by Jet Airways. Besides, return tickets are also available for Rs 13, 499 to Kuala Lumpur and Penang.
 
Singapore Airlines has also thrown in low return fares on routes like Bangkok Rs 13,999), Hong Kong (Rs 16,999) and Jakarta (Rs 17,999).
 
These attractive fares are on offer as Singapore Airlines is now operating two daily flights to Singapore from Mumbai and it will be available only on the daylight flights for a limited period for tickets purchased between March 31 and April 30 and travel by April 30.
 
"With daily morning and night departures, customers have greater flexibility to travel on Singapore Airlines to Singapore and beyond to over 70 destinations in 32 countries around the world. In turn, customers from other countries will have more flights to travel to India," said BK Ong, general manager India, Singapore Airlines.
