Singapore-based Changi Airport buys 26% stake in BAPL

Singapore-based Changi Airport International has picked up 26 per cent equity stake in Bengal Aerotropolis Projects (BAPL).

The company engaged in the development of the airport city project in Andal will invest Rs 100 crore for the project in the first phase.

Changi Airport International Chief Executive Officer Wong Woon Liong and Deputy Chief Executive Officer Eugene Gan have been inducted as directors on BAPL.

BAPL is setting up a Rs 10,000-crore airport city at Durgapur. The airport city, the first of its kind in Bengal will house an airport, IT Park, logistics hub, township and theme park.
