Skillpro to train 1 million for jobs, to expand to 400 centres

In the last five years, it had trained 30,000 candidates at its pan-India centres

Hyderabad-based skill training company Skillpro on Tuesday said it would impart job-ready skills to around 1 million students in the next five years.

The company, which has 60 training centres, plans to reach the 400-mark by 2018. As part of its expansion, it is looking to enter Kerala, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and Maharashtra in the next six months, said Ananth Rao, chairman, Skillpro. It has identified sectors including infrastructure, building and construction, capital goods, IT/ITeS, automobile and retail for imparting technical, vocational and soft-skills to under-privileged students in the working age category.
