 "Skipper Q4 net up 19% at Rs 36 cr")
Manufacturer of transmission and distribution structures Skipper Limited's net profit for the quarter March 31, 2016 rose 19.4% to Rs 36.12 crore against Rs 30.26 crore during the corresponding quarter previous year.
Net sales rose 4.7% to Rs 522.73 crore against Rs 499.47 crore.
The company's engineering products order book position stood at Rs 2,429 crore as on March 31. During Q4 FY16, the company bagged order of over Rs 1,200 crore.
In case of PVC products, the company during 2015-16 commissioned three new manufacturing plants at Ahmedabad, Guwahati and Sikandrabad. Wroks is underway for the new 6,000 MTPA PVC pipe manufacturing at Hyderabad and it is expected to be commissioned by Q1 FY17.
