Luxury car maker Skoda India today reported a sale of 1,550 units in July 2008, an increase of 83.4 per cent from that in the corresponding period last year.
Skoda India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Volkswagen Group, had sold 845 units in July 2007, the company said.
"We have grown across all model ranges which is a clear endorsement of our products. With Fabia contributing the most, the growing popularity of Laura and Superb continue to excite the customers for their innovativeness and latest technology," Skoda India Board of Directors Member Thomas Kuehl said in a statement.
The sales figure also include 602 units of India's first Super hatch Skoda Fabia, it added.
